| Aim: To strengthen the students¿ ability to understand spoken and written English; to strengthen the students¿ ability to speak and write in English about general as well as specific topics; to sharpen the students¿understanding of the scope, form and contents of technical English texts. |
| Contents: The course contains exercises, discussions, written assignments and oral presentation of general as well as technical topics. Besides English texts, tapes and videotapes will be used in the course. Emphasis will be put on understanding of the contents and comprehensive presentation; secondarily the course includes exercises in grammatical rules and expansion of the students¿ vocabulary. Active participation is necessary. |
