Prerequisites:   Basic knowledge of Telecommunication systems and Teletraffic Engineering. Minimum requirements: specialised Master's students.
Aim:  To describe new directions in telecommunication systems, and introduce performance evaluation methods and resource management at high level.
Contents:  The course deals with performance evaluation and control of future telecommunication networks using stochastic modelling and simulation tools. The networks may include mobile and wireless networks (cellular, satellite), high-speed networks, Internet, intra-nets, B-ISDN & ATM (wired & wireless), intelligent networks, etc. The actual course content will depend upon and include the most recent problems, networks and tools.
Remarks:  The course is arranged in cooperation with Lund University.
The course is also offered in the Ph.D. programme in Mathematics.
