| Aim: The course should give the students a general introduction to anaerobic microbial processes which is important in anaerobic biotechnology. This field includes production of enzymes, chemicals and bioenergy in addition to treatment of specific contaminants. |
| Contents: Anaerobic bacteria, the biogas process; production of bioethanol; production of biodegradable plastic, production of enzymes from anaerobes; cleaner technologies. |
