Aim:  a) To become acquainted with a number of advanced methods in water wave hydrodynamics.
b) To utilize these for the calculations of wave heights, lengths and directions, as well as water levels and motions in the sea and in nearshore regions.
Contents:  Theory for water waves, wave generations, refraction, wave attenuation, interaction with current, diffraction, higher-order effects.
