Aim:  The course will provide the students with a basic understanding of technical and economical factors that influence the choice of technology during a construction project.
Contents:  The series of lectures introduce general methods which are used in the planning and the execution of a construction work. Teachers from the department and visiting lecturers from the construction sector are in charge of the lectures. The project work includes choice of technology, planning and estimation of a specific construction work.
Remarks:  Course 11002 and course 11001: Building design and construction 1 is part of the compulsary introduction to civil engineering but other students can take the courses individually.
