Aim:  The course offers the participants an understanding of new production concepts, their features and potentialities in development of contruction processes. The focus is on organisational aspects, but efficiency and impact on human resources are considered as well.
Contents:  An overview on contemporary production concepts is given. A concept is understood as a program for change. The shaping and development of the concepts, their strength and weaknesses and commonalities as well as differences are discussed. A number of newer concepts has strong integrative features, where not only production but also other parts of the construction process and its administration are co-ordinated. Business Process Reengineering, Management of Quality and Environment and new forms of teamwork is dealt with, but the content of the course is adjusted to contemporary tendencies in the sector.
