11304 Study Trip - Urban Planning

Scope and form:  Project work in groups, study of literature and study trip (it is regarded as compulsary to take part in the trip in order to pass.

Participant limitation:  Min. 10 Max. 20
Aim:  To give the students an international perspective on sustainable urban development. Furthermore, to learn about the special problems and technical solutions in the town visited.
Contents:  The students plan the trip during spring, including contacts to the relevant local planning authorities and universities. In parallel a study of literature concerning the town and the chosen themes are carried out. The trip itself is expected to take place one week in the June three-week period. A report has to be written after the trip.
Remarks:  Expenses of up to 2000 dkr per students has to be expected - depending on the trip and the support from funding. There are not time for non-professional activities during the trip.
