Aim: To enable the participants to explain and to use in practice the most important physical properties of soils and the most important constructive solutions to foundation problems. To explain and to use the most important theoretical methods to solve seepage and simpel earth pressure problems. |
Contents: Basic soil properties. Strength and deformation properties of soil. One-dimensional problems. Bearing capacities and settlement of footings. Engineering methods for footings. Earth pressure on walls. Classification tests on soils. |
