Aim:  To make the student able to design advanced concrete and reinforced concrete structures for instance beams under skew bending, walls and panels, cylindrical shells and prestressed concrete.
Contents:  Skew bending. Plane stress analysis (yield conditions and reinforcement formulas). Torsion. Disks. Shells. Cylindrical shells. Ultimate limit state and serviceability limit state of partially and fully prestressed concrete structures. Prestressing systems. Prestressing losses (cable friction, anchorage pull-in, loss from elastic deformations, shrincage, creep of concrete and prestressing steel). Anchorage zones. External prestressing. Lateral stability of prestressed elements and panels. Buckling of thin webs. Crack width calculation.
