Aim: To enable the students to understand and apply the Danish codes of practice and to design and analyse steel and timber structures. To enable the students to understand and apply fundamental principles and computational methods concerning elastic 2D-structural elements. |
Contents: Safety methods, ultimate and serviceability limit states. Steel structures, hot rolled and welded girders, welded and bolted connections. Timber structures, sawn and laminated beams, desing and strngth of timber connections. Plates subjected to bending, equlibrium equations and boundary conditions. Elastic dises, finite-elements methodes. |
