Aim:  To give the students an understanding of reasoning within the frame of probability theory and enable the students to use this in a technical context. Finally to give the neccesary theoretical foundations for courses in Statistics.
Contents:  The concept of probability. Conditional probability. Bayes' theorem. Discrete and continuous distributions. Joint distributions. Conditional distributions. Characteristic values. Descriptive statistics.
