Aim: To provide the students with a solid understanding of the principles behind and the methods applied to advanced traffic management, in particular in urban areas. |
Contents: Subjects such as advanced signal control, route guidance, traffic information, traffic control, demand management, etc are covered by lectures and papers must be written on a number of subjects. Some field data collection may be neccessory. The course is finalised with a paper on a subject picked by the student. |
