Scope and form:  Lectures, group work in international composite groups. Excursions. Project work with design of roads. Presentations of finished projects. Literature study.

Aim:  The course objective is to obtain a deeper understanding of the rules of road design, not only road and design standards, but also rules for estetically and environmentally right solutions. Through cooperation between the universities, we get access to a broad expertise in all aspects of road design and planning.
Contents:  First project work is an urban approach in Skåne, staying at Swed. Agricultural Univ. at Malmø, and with teachers also from Lund Techn. Univ. Study tour (Holland). Project with road in countryside in Denmark, staying at Agric. Univ. in Copenhagen, aqnd with teachers from DTU and Road Directorate.
Remarks:  The course is given in cooperation between 4: The DTU and the corresponding Lund techn. Univ. in Sweden, and the two Agricultural Univ.s in Alnarp (Sweden) and Frederiksberg (Denmerk). As application deadlines are different all over, it is extremely important to signal interest early before the fall semester 2001 and 2002.
