Aim: To give the participants a thorough introduction to the formulation of advanced models and the application of advanced solution methods to logistics and transport problems. The participants will be able to identity problems within logistics and transport which advantageously can be delt with by quantitative methods, and to formulate and solve large practical problems. |
Contents: Strategic planning of the structure of compound and / or multimodal transport networks. Operational planning of compound and / or multimodal transport networks. Combined inventory and transport problems. Supply chain management. Cases. |
Remarks: The course is rather informal and require a very active cooperation by the participants, for example by presentations of parts of the subject. |
