32410 Basic High Voltage Engineering and Insulation Technique
Danish title: Grundlæggende højspændings - og isolationsteknik
Language:  Danish    ECTS-creditpoints:  10, External examination.
Type:  , open university
Program:  Electrical Engineering
Class schedule:   F5
Exam schedule:   F5-A (jun 07 2002), E5-A (dec 20 2001)
Scope and form:  Lectures, laboratory exercises and working groups.
Evaluation:  Oral exam and approval of exercises
Examination:  13-scale
Previous course:  53327
No credit points with:  53327
Participant limitation:  Max. 20
Contents:  The basic mechanisms in connection with the electric strength of gasses, liquids and solid dielectric media are studied. Furthermore, laboratory techniques for the generation of high voltages with the associated measurement techniques are treated. Methods for the control of electric fields in electric apparatus are used together with numeric field calculations and used for the design of insulation systems. 4 experimental laboratory exercises will give experiences with the special measurement and calculation methods that are used within the high voltage technique.
The subject matters are studied in further details within working groups.
