Aim: To provide the students with the basic knowledge to chemistry and process dynamics required to perform a theoretical handling of problems related to soil and groundwater pollution, water pollution, water supply, soil treatment, and waste water treatment in a qualified way. |
Contents: Process kinetics, process hydraulics, aeration, chemical equilibria, phase distributions in multiphase systems, carbonate chemistry, ion exchange, sorption, redox systems. |
Remarks: The course is a prerequisite for the majority of the courses offered by ER. |
