Prerequisites:  63130, 12100 Good fundamental knowledge to general chemistry

Aim:  Description of air pollution, sources, atmospheric processes, deposition and effects on the environment.
Contents:  Air pollution, from sources through atmospheric transport and transformation, deposition and effects on humans, animals, vegetations, soil, water, constructions and buildings. Ozone layer destruction and greenhouse warming are specific themes. Measurement of compounds and effects. Environmental economy legislation and international efforts towards reduced emissions.
Remarks:  Is only offered in autumn 2001 as a 5 credit point course. From 2002 it will be used the basis for a new 10 credit point course taught in English
