Aim:  The aim of the course is to give the student a broad knowledge of magnetism and magnetic materials and the related experimental techniques.
Contents:  Magnetic moments in solids, magnetic interaction, magnetic ordering, ferromagnetism, ferrimagnetism and antiferromagnetism, magnetic model systems, nuclear magnetism, NMR, Mössbauer spektroscopi, magnetic neutron- og X-Ray scattering, magnetic minerals and magnetic nanoparticles
Remarks:  The course is given in collaboration with The University of Copenhagen and Risø National Laboratory.
The course is open in equal years only.
