| Aim: To introduce the participants to all phases from idea to a successful medical (image) diagnostic product. Particularly, the participants will get knowledge of topics in medical image analysis, clinical testing, and bio statistics. |
| Contents: The following phases are introduced: Invention, patenting, market analysis, financing, prototype development, clinical testing, regulatory approvals, product development, marketing, sales and distribution. The focus is on medical image analysis, quality assurance, bio statistics, clinical testing, and approval from authorities. |
| Remarks: The course aims at engineers that want an introduction to the use of medical image analysis and informatics in the development of medico technical applications. |
