Aim:  To learn to solve a technical problem efficiently by formulation of the relevant sufficiently simplified mathematical model and solution of the mathematical problem with appropriate analytical and numerical methods. Visualisation of the results.
Contents:  Linear and nonlinear initial and boundary value problems for ordinary
and partial differential equations, eigenvalue problems. Wave propagation and dispersion. Heat conduction and dissipation. Forced oscillations and resonance. Impulse response and Green's function. Laplace and Fourier transformations. Calculus of Variation. Approximative solution methods. Use of Matlab and Mathematica. Animation.
