Preferred prerequisites:  Introductory operations research and Organization and Labour Market.
Aim:  To enable students to employ operations research and sociological planning methods in cooperation with the end user. To build a social science framework for understanding the practical application of these methods.
Contents:  Planning methodology in a social science context. Power, learning, and communication methods in the interaction between expert, decision maker, and user. Building and implementing the user oriented planning process, illustrated by models and concrete examples. Sample topics for the report: strategic development and user cooperation in organizational development, traffic planning, environmental planning, IT design and applications.
Remarks:  The course is given jointly by IMM and IPL.
