Aim:  Giving the student knowledge about the relations between processes, microstructures, properties and performance of metallic materials.
Contents:  Microstructures of metallic materials. Phase diagrams. Steel types and non-ferrous alloys.
Materials processing in particular heat treatment. Metal matrix composites. Mechanical properties, fracture, creep, corrosion and wear. Relations Process-Microstructure-Properties-Performance
