Aim:  To give the students an introduction to the social importance of technology
Contents:  The relationship between society, engineering and technology will be introduced, and the heterogenous dimensions of engineering work will be discussed. Introduction to the societal regulation and activities in research and innovation. In addition examples of engineering work and the need for knowledge and practical competences to carry out these types of jobs will be presented.
