Aim: To provide the students knowledge about relevant technical and economical relations in a manufactoring enterprise and in logistics. The student shall be able to identify areas for improvement, formulate goals, prepare technical and economical calculations and analyse the economical consequences of project for improvement in product- and productiontechnologies, production systems and logistics. |
Contents: Description of the enterprise role in macro-economy; The tasks of the production engineer; Formulate and give priority to goals in quantifitable and non-quantifitable terms. Productivity intities; Build budgets; Find technical and related economical information; Find and quantify data for estimation of costs and time related to production and distribution; Estimate consequences of projects in development of development of projects and testing of tools. - HusÆq. a inernetbased case used through the term, including five subcases on goals, development in competition and productdevelopment, productionmethods, outsourcing. - Idef0 and Activity Based Costing analysis of changes in working procedures in a purchasing processes. - Budgetting using spreadsheet models. |
