Aim: To provide knowledge of the connection between catalytic activity and the structure of the species involved in catalytic process. To apply spectroscopic and X-ray methods on catalysts, model systems and coordination compounds. Introduction to measurements of catalytic activity. Theoretical background for the applied methods. Industrial use of catalysts. |
Contents: Synthesis of transfer metal complexes and catalysts. Characterization of the stucture of the complex compounds by X-ray diffraction, computational structure analysis, IR-, Raman-, UV / VIS and ESR (electron spin resonance) spectroscopy. Measurements of catalytic activity. Excursions to other DTU institutes and related industry. |
