Aim: The aim is to give an introduction to the field of combinatorial and solid-phase chemistry. |
Contents: Introduction to and history of combinatorial science, comprising both solution and solid-phase synthesis. The mathematics of combinatorics. Molecular diversity (structural and functional properties, the combinatorial display and size). Planning of a library synthesis.Resins and handles for solid-phase peptide, oligonucleotide, oligosaccharide, and organic synthesis. Methods for attachment and cleavage; stability and compatibility during synthesis. Organic syntheses on solid-phase. Analytical techniques. Assays and screening. Phage display libraries Application of combinatorial chemistry in the pharma industry |
