Aim: To introduce the participants to the modelling of flow, heat- and mass transport and to give experience with projects in the subject. |
Contents: Mechanisms for transport of momentum (flow), energy and mass in chemical and biological systems. Applications in the design of equipment in the chemical, biotechnological and farmaceutical industry. Possible project topics include membrane separation, (multi component) diffusion, aerosols, suspensions, emulsions, biological fluids, polymers, surface tension and heat transport in biological fluids analyzed with CFD. |
