Aim:  To present the theoretical basis of chemical kinetics and catalysis, so that the participants can use these basic concepts in the planning and operation of industrial chemical processes.
Contents:  Basic kinetic concepts, theories of reaction rates, elementary gas-phase reactions, elementary reactions in solution, reactions on surfaces and heterogeneous catalysis, composite reactions and chemical kinetic modelling.
Remarks:  The course is a condition or an advisable condition of other courses in FYS, IK and KT.
