Aim:  To give the participants a fundamental knowledge about combustion and gasification processes as well as methods for harmful emission control.
Contents:  Combustion of gaseous, liquid and solid fuels in different combustion systems such as gas turbines, motors, pulverized fuel combustors, fixed bed and fluid bed. Formation and reduction of pollutants from combustion. The different systems are treated theoretically and the students solve big, practically oriented problems during the course.
Remarks:  The course is offered in collaboration between Dept. of Chem. Eng. and Dept. of Mech. Eng.
