Aim:  Chemical engineers work in research, product development, production, marketing and sale of chemical products. This course covers the entire procedure from deciding what a product should do (our needs), development and selection of ideas, how to meet the needs, the chemical development, laboratory and field tests, how to manufacture the product and how to bring it on the market.
Contents:  The role of chemical engineers in product development. Organisation of product development. Marketing tools. Patenting. Cooperation with suppliers. Selection between projects. Project management. The development process. Time to market. Lab.scale and full scale test. Legislation. Product registration. Marketing and sale. Technical support to customers.
