Aim: The aim of the course is to provide the student with thorough knowledge as well as practical skills in the areas of mathematic that are useful in chemical engineering, to provide the student with a conceptual understanding af mathematics and with som skills in mathematical reasoning and to enable the student to solve engineering problems with a computer. |
Contents: Double integral, line integral and exact differential. Implicit differentiation. Extremum for function of several variables. l'Hospitals rule and Taylor's theorem. Numerical methods for integration. Laplace transforms and their application to systems of differential euations and to differential equations having delays. |
