41523 Computer Aided Analysis of Mechanical Systems
Danish title: Computerbaseret analyse af mekaniske systemer
Language:  English    ECTS-creditpoints:  5
Type:  , open university
Class schedule:   E3-A
Even years only.
Exam schedule:   No exam
Recommended semester:  7th - 9th semester
Scope and form:  Lectures and exercises
Evaluation:  Approval of exercises and reports
Approval of exercises is mandatory before the report will be assessed.
Examination:  13-scale
Previous course:  70452
Prerequisites:  70212 / 41515
No credit points with:  70452
Participant limitation:  Min. 5 Max. 24
Aim:  To teach the student to analyse complex mechanical systems and mechanisms using computer simulation codes developed during the course.
Contents:  During the lectures the theory behind a computer code for kinematic and dynamic analysis of mechanical systems is presented.
At the exercises a code is developed in either C or FORTRAN, which can perform both kinematic and dynamic analysis of mechanical systems, including the simulation as well as graphical display of results as animations and curves. The final project will include further additions to the code developed during the semester.
