Aim: To acquaint the students with the CAE methods used in modern engineering analysis, making them able to use these methods rationally, with regard to strong points as well as weakness of the methods. |
Contents: Formulation of matrices for field problems in the elasticity theory, heat transmission and fluid flow. Different types of elements and their properties, particularly finite elements for one and two-dimensional elstic problems and for heat transmission. Algorithms suitable for computerised solutions of the matrix equations. The capabilities of modern element programmes, and their potentials. |
