Aim:  To enable the students to be familiar with the basic concepts of heating, cooling and air conditioning. To enable the students to set up specifications for such systems and be able to make rough calculations of dimensioning. To be able to make calculations of energy consumption and comfort.
Contents:  Indoor climate. Thermal comfort. Processes with humid air. Isolation technique. Thermodynamic basis for heat and cold production. Design of duct and pipe systems. Pumps and fans. Heat exchangers. Heat pumps and chillers. Load calculations. Regulation and control af plants. Environmental and safety aspects for plant.
