Aim:  To give you an understanding of the physics and technology of the most important semiconductor devices. Further, to enable you to choose the right device for an application
Contents:  Physics and fabrication technology for the main semiconductor devices.Transport and dynamics in the presence of an electric field, impotential effect, field effect, and quantum effect devices are emphasized. Among the devices covered are modern heterostructure devices such as Hetero Junction Bipolar Transistors, High Electron Mobility Transistors and Ballistic Injection Devices. Furthermore, subjects related to recent results within molecular electronics are discussed.
Remarks:  A basic understanding of solid state electronics is required
