januar juni |
Recommended semester: 4th -7th semester |
Scope and form: Lectures the first week and experimental exercises the last 2 weeks. 8 hours a day. |

|
Examination: Pass/fail |
Previous course: 44430 |
Participant limitation: Max. 15 |
Aim: To introduce you to the multitude of new bio / chemical analysis techniques that have arisen during the last 5 years from the fusion of analytical bio / chemistry and microtechnology. |
Contents: The course contains lectures and exercises in the present research projects at the Microelectronics Center. The emphasis is put on the combination of theoretical insight and 'hands on' experience with the projects. You will work with microsystems for automated cell diagnostics, integrated optics, 'on chip' capillary electrophoresis, analytical enzyme reactors, biosensors, DNA chips, prenatal diagnostics and cancer diagnostics. You will go through the different exercises in close collaboration with the supervisors of the projects. |
