Scope and form: Three weeks with project work activity.
| Evaluation: Approval of coursework/reports
|
Examination: Pass/fail
Previous course: 48412
Prerequisites: 31405 / 48110 Wireless Communication or Introductory Electromagnetic Theory
No credit points with: 48412
Participant limitation: Max. 20
Aim: To make the students able to solve electromagnetic problems on a computer by using analytical and numerical methods.
Contents: The course starts with an introduction to Fortran 90. In connection with this introduction, an exercise common to all students must be solved. This exercise deals with a simple electromagnetic problem. Afterwards, the students solve a larger problem in the area of electromagnetic field theory. This problem is directly related to on-going research activities in the department.
Remarks: Numerical and possibly experimental exercises are solved in groups of two students.
