Prerequisites: 01032.31650 Programming in C or Matlab |
Aim: To permit students to focus their work on particular areas of Biomedical Engineering and to develop expertise in these areas. |
Contents: The students select a project in: a) organ systems: their physiologi, modeling, and simulation b) instrumentation: measurement principles, transducers, analog instrumentation, ultrasound and digital signal and image processing. Current project topics are listed on the course home page. |
Remarks: After a few lectures on project topics, project teams chose a project topic and work on this project during the rest of the course. Students are not required to have previous experience in all subject areas. Weekly progress meetings are held. The course is offered for the first time in the fall 2002. |
