Recommended semester: 1st - 4th semester |
Scope and form: Group work in groups of 2 to 3 students. |
Evaluation: Approval of coursework/reports
Approval of laboratory work and report. The 3-weeks period is concluded by an oral presentation of the report (not subject to evaluation). |
Examination: Pass/fail |
Previous course: 49111, 50150, 51150 |
Prerequisites: 31000 |
No credit points with: 46150 / 49111 / 49150 / 50150 / 51150 / 52150 / 53150 |
Participant limitation: Max. 80 |
Aim: To teach the students about task / problem formulation, about planning and performing an engineering project and to offer the students practice in rational routines when doing development work in groups. |
Contents: The project starts at the middle of the 12-week-period. Each group of 2-3 students choses a task (see below). The group works out a detailed task formulation and makes a plan for the contents and the time consumption necessary for the completion of the task. The written task formulation and plan for its implementation must be approved before the start of the 3-week-period. During the 3-week-period the construction and testing is carried out, and the concluding report is written. The tasks comprise design and laboratory testing of for instance a digital system, a piece of instrumentation, a robot component, or an acoustic system. |
Remarks: Only participants in the Electro Preliminary Programme are admitted to the course. |
