Aim:  After satisfactory accomplishment the student should be able to
- apply the concepts of capacitance and inductance under conditions relevant to electronics
- design inductive components
- design transmission lines
Contents:  Integral form of Maxwell's Equations.
Electric fields. Capacitance.
Magnetic fields. Inductance.
Magnetic materials.
Inductive components for electronic equipment: coils, transformers.
Transmission lines with microstrip technology as example.
Overview of plane waves.
