Remarks:  The course comprises lectures, group work and practical exercises in climate chambers.
During the course, the students will design a climatic system to a room that has well-defined requirements to the indoor environment. By PC-simulation, it will be tested if the system meets the requirements at an acceptable consumption of energy. By CFD-simulation, the resulting indoor environment will be described. The most advanced and precise methods for the measurement of air movement in spaces and the determination of air change rate and centilation efficiency by tracer gas are used to verify the designed and simulated indoor environment in practice.
