| Aim: To provide the student with a deeper insight in selected areas of biochemistry. To relate biochemistry to immunology and cytology.To present the theoretical background for analytical and preparative methods used in biochemistry. | 
| Contents: Protein biochemistry: Structure, folding, ligard interaktions, intracellular transport and degradation. Hormones. Antibodies. Biological oxidation and de-toxification. Lipids and lipoproteins. Muscle tissues. Connective tissues. Membrane transport. Hormones and receptors. Biochemical techniques including strategies for separation and characterisation of biomolecules. |
