Aim: To give an introduction to the basis of immunology. To give the theoretical background for using immunochemical methods in solving nutritional and biochemical problems in technology and medicine. |
Contents: The molecular and cellular background for immune reactions. Synthesis, structure and function of immunoglobulins. The T-cell receptor. The major histo-compatibility complex. Antigen-antibody reactions. Composition and function of the complement system. Cell-mediated immunity. Immunity and infection. Allergy. Transplantation immunology. Immune technology and immuno chemical analysis. |
