Aim: Introduction to statics for 3D continuous bodies and for plates in bending (elastic, plastic and buckling). The structural behaviour is illustrated by simple analytical solutions and by experimentally or numerically determined results. |
Contents: Stresses. Statics for 3D continuous bodies. Deformations and Strains. Constitutive conditions. Hooke's law. Simple yield conditions. Deformations and forces in plates. Basic equations for plate bending. Simple solutions for elastic plates. Yield line method. Buckling of plates. Computer applications. |
