Aim: To make the students capable of designing more advanced concrete structures such as beams under biaxial bending, disks, cylinder shells and prestressed concrete structures. |
Contents: Biaxial bending of beams. Biaxial stress fields. Torsion. Shell structures. Cylinder shells. Analysis of fully and partially prestressed concrete structures in the servisability limit state, prestressing systems, loss of prestress due to friction, anchorage, elastic deformation, skrinkage, creep and relaxation. Anchorage zones. Determination of stresses, crack widths and deformation. Unbonded prestressing tendons. Stability considerations for prestressed beams and reinforced concrete disks and plates. |
