| Aim: To give the student the skill to formulate and solve strength and stability problems concerning framed, elastic structures. |
| Contents: Methods for analysing elastic, statically indeterminate problems (flexibility method, stiffness method). Application of symmetry theorems for plane symmetrical structures. Theory of plane curved beams. Beam-columns. Berry functions. Stability formulations. Stability analysis of elastic frames. Subjects related to numerical solution of statically indeterminate problems. |
