Aim: After the course the student should be able to analyze complex mechanical systems and mechnisms using computer simulation codes. It is emphasized that the student who takes this course is able both to develop his/hers own codes and to use commercial codes. |
Contents: Exercices: Development of code in either C or Fortran for analysis of mechanisms. Simulation of mechanical systems using a commercial code for analysis and animation of mechanical systems. The final project may be chosen either as an extension of the developed code or as a designproject using the commercial codes. Lectures: The necessary theory for the development of a code that can analyse mechanical systems will be given, and some of the facilities in a commercial code are demonstrated. |
