Remarks: One-day experiments alternating with report writing. The experiments take place at the DR 1 reactor at Risø National Laboratory.

Aim: To give the student familiarity with nuclear reactor operation, with a series of measurement methods, and with the safety provisions at nuclear reactors.
Contents: Reactor criticality, measurement of temperature and void coefficients, measurement of gamma spectra and identification of radioisotopes, health physics, measurement og neutron cross sections, measurement of flux distribution in the DR 1, neutron radiography.
