| Aim: To give the student a set of mathematical concepts which will enable him to understand and handle the typical models of partial differential equations encountered in civil engineering. This includes the numerical treatment. |
| Contents: Gradient Fields. Potential functions. Line integral and Independence of Path. Surface Integrals. Gauss' Theorem. Infinite Series of functions. Fourier series. Partial Differential Equations. Discretisation and Numerical Methods. |
