Aim: To enable the participants to make an overall design of conventional housing projects, and to evaluate bearing capacities, bracing, thermal insulation, protection against water and moisture, sound isolation and fire precautions for main structures and for construction members. |
Contents: Presentation of typical structural systems and conventional construction members, such as slaps, walls and roofs. Design of main structural systems and bracing members. Evaluation of acoustics. Determinations of U-values and vapour barriers. Evaluation of coldbridges. Structural design due to fire. Design of structural joints and soft joints placed in the building envelope. |
